Here’s what awaits you:

• Direct all planning activities, covering short, medium, and long-term planning needs.
• Manage the upkeep of the forward rolling six-month plan in the final design phase, and the six to twelve-month plan in the preliminary design phase.
• Carry out mine planning and feasibility studies for both operational and developmental projects.
• Perform mine designs for all geological block models and finalize conceptual mining assessments for new ore bodies.
• Revise all mining costs quarterly, aligning with actuals based on a 12-month rolling average.
• Establish and aid in the execution of best practice standards and procedures concerning the mine planning process.
• Support operations with mine planning, engineering initiatives, budgeting, and business evaluations as needed.
• Disseminate the Life of Asset Plan to promote understanding of future objectives and directions for the Mining Operation.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need

Experience:

• Hands-on production and planning experience in a large-scale open pit mining environment.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of all planning processes, from short-term to long-term.
• Solid understanding of cost management principles.
• Proficiency in using mine planning and design software – especially Deswik.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Unrestricted Quarry Manager’s Certificate of Competency (preferred).
