About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Communications to spearhead the strategic development, execution, and enhancement of customer communications covering delivery & design, content, and the customer lifecycle. Your responsibilities will also include supporting newsletters, incident communications, account health initiatives, educational efforts, and refining toll notices, statements, invoices, and other essential documents. You will join a team focused on managing and optimizing the processing and distribution of vital business communications.

As our Senior Manager, Communications, you will contribute to enduring, positive changes that influence the future of our cities and communities. This is meaningful, challenging, and stimulating work.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive external customer communication strategies.
  • Analyze communication outcomes and refine strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Establish and maintain communication policies and procedures.
  • Implement mechanisms for customer feedback to enhance communication effectiveness.
  • Create, deliver, and improve new communication activities.

This role suits someone with:

  • A curious mindset and relevant transferable skills and experiences.
  • At least 10 years of experience in communications or related fields.
  • Mandatory experience with notices, statements, invoices, and/or member statements.
  • A minimum of 5 years in people management.
  • Experience in designing and executing strategic communications roadmaps.
  • Proven ability in managing third-party relationships, including contract negotiation.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to influence and manage senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with digital communication tools and platforms, such as document composition, marketing automation, archiving, reporting, and reconciliation systems.
