Role Summary
Qantas is looking for multiple Senior Business Analysts to join our team in Mascot, Sydney (hybrid working options available). This role serves as a vital link between our Technology and Business divisions, working on engaging projects within Digital & B2C Technology.
You will manage the complete project lifecycle, encompassing requirements gathering, solution design, defining functional needs, and coordinating user training. As a domain specialist with deep insight into the business vision, you’ll offer valuable consulting and advice on application support.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and preserve requirements and design documentation throughout its lifecycle to maximize impact on business goals at various levels (Feature, Product, Squad, Project, Technical).
- Work together with senior management and business stakeholders to pinpoint business requirements and goals.
- Convert business needs into precise, actionable tasks for both technical and non-technical teams.
- Direct and coordinate the analysis and rollout of business solutions across diverse projects.
- Supervise the collection and verification of business requirements from multidisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate across the domain to guarantee consistency and prevent potential silo effects.
- Develop productive relationships with service partners to ensure efficient technology service delivery aligned with business objectives.
- Create comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations to share findings and suggestions.
- Handle relationships with key business stakeholders, subject matter experts, project teams, other tech squads, cyber, and data privacy units.
- Exhibit innovative approaches and agile methodologies when working with stakeholders, project teams, and/or squads.
Required Experience & Skills
- 7 – 10 years of experience in a business analyst or comparable position.
- Proficient stakeholder engagement and management abilities.
- Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to varied audiences.
- Excellent documentation capabilities.
- Track record of delivering successful results in large-scale IT project initiatives.
- Experience operating within large, complex business settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Familiarity with modern delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, HCD, test automation, etc.).
- Experience with B2C/CRM systems & contact centre technologies (e.g., Salesforce, Genesys) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of contact centre operations is beneficial.
- Relevant certifications (BABOK, CBAP, Agile, etc.) are highly regarded.
