About the role:

The Manager Privacy Compliance oversees the ongoing enhancement and execution of premier enterprise privacy compliance frameworks and delivers high-quality privacy counsel to the AGL business. You will foster and cultivate effective working ties with key stakeholders throughout the enterprise, while guiding and aiding the business in adopting best practice methods for governance, risk, and compliance management concerning privacy.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Spearhead the execution and continual refinement of AGL’s Privacy Policy, frameworks, standards, and procedures to guarantee adherence to legal and regulatory mandates.
  • Support business units in embedding AGL’s Privacy framework into their activities and offer advice on effectively managing privacy risks.
  • Oversee compliance with AGL’s Privacy Policy, perform privacy impact evaluations, and suggest enhancements or corrective measures.
  • Counsel business stakeholders on secure methods for data handling, sharing, and storage to minimize privacy risks.
  • Work with technology departments to improve Data and Information Governance Frameworks, incorporating privacy management practices as needed.
  • Create and administer privacy compliance training, awareness initiatives, and incident management procedures, including overseeing notifiable data breach processes.

What you’ll bring:

  • Substantial experience in the practical implementation and evolution of Privacy compliance frameworks and practices within large, intricate organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise risk management, assurance, privacy, data, and associated legislation.
  • Experience interacting with and presenting to all organizational levels, including Executive leadership.
  • Outstanding presentation, communication (both verbal and written), and negotiation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results, promote positive outcomes, and implement change within a large, varied organization.
  • Experience in the energy sector or exposure to a highly regulated industry is highly advantageous.
