WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

As a participant in Bain’s AI, Insights, and Solutions group, you’ll become part of a skilled team comprising diverse and inclusive analytic and engineering experts committed to resolving complex issues for our clientele. We collaborate closely with our generalist consultants and clients to formulate data-informed strategies and pioneering solutions. WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a contributing member of the expanding ML Engineering team within Bain’s Advanced Analytics Group, you will:

• Offer technical guidance for comprehensive technical solution implementation on client projects (spanning from solution architecture to practical development tasks).
• Engage with general consulting teams to grasp and provide advice on the ML components of business challenges, and effectively prioritize and implement solutions.
• Create statistical/ML models intended for client handover as either prototype or production software.
• Convert existing prototype code into scalable, production-ready software.
• Develop, test, deploy, and sustain machine learning code throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
• Cooperate on (or spearhead) the creation of reusable common frameworks, models, and components that can be extensively utilized to tackle frequent ML engineering issues across various industries and business functions.
• Promote best practices in software engineering and disseminate knowledge with AAG team members regarding theoretical and technical advancements in ML engineering.

ABOUT YOU: We seek an individual who possesses:

• A robust theoretical foundation in machine learning, coupled with practical experience in constructing and deploying machine learning models.
• Proficiency in executing all phases of a Machine Learning model’s lifecycle.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and comfort working with containers.
• Hands-on experience in recent years exploring and utilizing LLMs and other generative AI technologies.
• Strong Python coding abilities, adhering to good code standards and agile development practices.
• The capability to construct a service that exposes an ML model for consumption by other applications.
• A learning-oriented mindset, enjoys exploring new tools and languages, and values teaching others and sharing effective practices.
• Versatility and willingness to adapt and acquire new skills as needed to genuinely deliver client value.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience and/or a pertinent graduate degree.
• Potential for significant travel (up to 30%) owing to the international scope of our operations.
