Where the team fits in

Our property marketing funding business, CampaignAgent, aims to provide financial freedom to the real estate sector. The team is dedicated to delivering innovative, low-friction financial solutions to Australia’s premier residential real estate agencies, concentrating on campaign advertising.

The Head of Credit & Compliance is crucial in guiding key initiatives within credit and compliance, ensuring CampaignAgent adheres to established credit policies, frameworks, and regulatory duties.

In this capacity, you will supervise credit risk management, ensure compliance with Australian credit and financial services laws, and advise internal stakeholders on credit issues. You will also serve as a Responsible Manager under the company’s Australian Credit Licence (ACL) and aid in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) compliance.

What the role is all about

  • Credit Risk Management: Guarantee adherence to credit policies and frameworks while maintaining a balanced risk appetite.
  • Delegated Credit Authority (DCA): Apply high-level judgment and independence to maintain credit quality and fulfill responsible lending duties.
  • Escalation Support: Act as the main escalation contact for credit-related questions, managing timelines and expectations across departments.
  • Credit Risk Forum: Steer the strategic direction of the Credit Risk Forum, ensuring strong governance and proactive follow-up on actions.
  • Responsible Manager (ACL): Fulfill duties under the company’s ACL, ensuring regulatory compliance and best practices.
  • AML/CTF Compliance: Oversee and manage compliance tasks under Australian AML/CTF laws.
  • Referral Network Oversight: Shape and enforce compliance within the real estate agent referral network, aligning with company standards and strategies.
  • Risk & Compliance Coordination: Serve as the central coordinator for various risk and compliance processes, utilizing strategic relationships with second-line risk and audit teams.

Who we’re looking for

  • Proven Experience: 8-10 years in consumer credit risk, compliance, or a similar role within financial services.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the NCCP Act, ASIC guidelines, and AML/CTF laws.
  • Qualifications: Certificate IV in Finance or higher; or Bachelor of Law.
  • Policy Development: Skilled in conceptual analysis and crafting credit policies aligned with CampaignAgent’s goals.
  • DCA Experience: Background in holding and exercising a Delegated Credit Authority.
  • Process Familiarity: Knowledge of credit risk assessment and escalation procedures.
  • ACL Expertise: Proficient in requirements for Australian Credit Licence holders.
  • Coordination Skills: Experience in coordinating risk and compliance across first and second lines of defence.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills for strategic engagement with internal/external stakeholders (regulators, auditors, referral networks).
  • Forum Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in secretariat duties for risk/credit forums.
  • Partnership Oversight: Ability to proactively influence and review business partnerships, especially referral networks.
