An exciting and fulfilling opportunity is available within the Fortescue corporate office for a seasoned SAP finance professional. You will become part of a small, dedicated systems team supporting Fortescue’s finance operations. This role offers the chance to engage with all facets of Fortescue’s financial processes, encompassing consolidations, joint ventures, manufacturing, treasury, and procurement.
Reporting to the Manager Financial Systems and located in our Perth office, you will collaborate with experienced colleagues to support the standard business-as-usual finance processes. Responsibilities may involve initiating change requests, offering project support for SAP S/4 HANA and related systems, performing user acceptance testing and facilitating sign-off, delivering training, and assisting key users.
Your primary focus will be assisting the business with their group reporting and consolidation processes, including some month-end support, master data upkeep, and related governance. You will also be instrumental in various projects. Duties might include supporting corporate teams with their procedures, communicating with key stakeholders across the business to collect and document requirements, analysing processes and controls, conducting user acceptance and integration testing, providing SAP FICO support, and user training.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong finance background and previous SAP experience. Preferably, you have an SAP FICO consulting background, hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree, and have CA or CPA qualifications. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively engaging with key senior stakeholders.
