The Role: Investment Analyst

We’re looking for an Investment Analyst to join our Commercial & Business Development team. In this role, you’ll support the development and pursuit of opportunities in solar, storage, and distributed energy assets, as well as embedded networks and district energy schemes, through organic growth and M&A.

Responsibilities:

• Financial modeling for new projects and current asset valuation.
• Producing reports and dashboards to present key commercial information.
• Preparing client proposals, investment pitchbooks, and responses to bids and tenders.
• Translating and reporting on asset performance.
• Performance and efficiency modeling for various energy assets.
• Assisting with asset budgets, forecasts, and performance reconciliations.
• Energy retail pricing and profitability analysis.
• Data analysis to support existing assets and billing.
• Research and due diligence for business development and M&A activities.
• Preparation of energy supply contracts and customer connection agreements.
• Monitoring energy market assumptions and service provider tariff structures.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in a commercial, accounting, investment analyst, or consulting role.
• Tertiary qualifications in finance and/or engineering.
• Proven ability in financial modeling, particularly with MS Excel and other financial tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Experience in the renewable energy or utilities sector is highly valued.
• Self-starter with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
